Koh Samui is an island on the east side of Thailand. Koh Samui is the second largest island of Thailand with an area of over 228 square KM. Koh Samui is one of the most famous travel destination in Thailand's and visited by more than 1.5 million tourists annually. What makes Koh Samui so popular?
With abundant natural resources, white sandy beaches, towering palm trees, and a beautiful coral reef, Koh Samui is very favored by travelers from around the world who want to enjoy the natural beauty of Thailand. History
Koh Samui has been inhabited by humans since the 15th century ago, most of the population were living as a fisherman. Until the end of the 20th century, Koh Samui practically isolated from the outside world because it hardly ever communicates with the main area of Thailand.
Until the 1970s, Koh Samui did not have the highway so if you want to switch locations around the island, must pass through the hilly forest in the middle of the island and takes a very long time.
Because of the isolation, Koh Samui's environment very well preserved its beauty. Nature that free from human interference is an advantage and the main attraction of Koh Samui, so many tourists visiting this place since the 1980s.

Koh Samui can be reached by plane and ship. Samui Airport is the only airport in Koh Samui, built and owned by Bangkok Airways. The Airport that built in 1989 is currently serving a variety of routes to and from Koh Samui, for example:
